Sorepaw Productions is a Scottish independent film production company established in 2009 by film enthusiasts James Bremner, Suzanne Hendry, Karen Flynn and Jacques Cousineau. Sorepaw Productions should not exist, everyone involved in the company is from a working class background with no industry experience, no industry training, no industry contacts, not even a short film to their name, yet the company’s debut release, a short feature titled 'A Year and a Day.' was written, cast, filmed, edited and completed with zero budget. The whole ethos of Sorepaw Productions will be familiar for those of the punk rock generation and the “can do” attitudes of that era. So in possession of an idea and a story to tell the individuals came together to transfer their idea to film and 'A Year And A Day' was born Visit Site
So where does it go from here? Well, the budding film makers have come of age and are now looking forward to starting production of their next feature a collection of quirky ghost stories entitled 'FOUR' scheduled for later this year. Although we are still very much independent, the company has managed to prosper by embracing commercial projects from time to time allowing us to call the shots in the side of the business that got our blood running initially. Aware as we are of the difficulties of getting attention or experience in the film industry we are always interested in promoting home grown Scottish talent whenever possible. Our goal is to break into the world of Feature Films, we have a creative team with diverse ideas and hope this is reflected in the work we do.
